Magic is a tricky business. i also think that this game is pretty cool but its too annoing that you have only 4 energy and 2 casts.... you should change it in some way you should let people get more energy.... it would be more interesting and more and more people would play it ....

Be patient Ioanna. As you work along the levels different things happen. It's not a competitive, fast paced game, but it is fun.

I have just started to play this game. I could see how the 4 energy points given is exhausted quickly. In some cases 2 wand uses. Then the 15 minutes to regenerate. As the characters increase in levels a possibility is to increase energy so that the time in play is lengthened. I spend the 30 seconds playing then I go do something else for the 15 minutes.

Another thought is to give side trips of learning so that the hook stays with the character/player. Just a thought as this is a lot of script to add to your beta.

Hello. I am definitely intrigued by this game.

Unfortunately, I'm becoming frustrated and impatient with it, too, and I've just been here for two days.

Most of my frustration/impatience has to do with my stunningly impoverished ability to do any effective spellcasting.

Limiting players like me to two casts every 15 minutes is a LOT of wait time for a newbie player. And, at least for me, up to half of those casts result in nothing but smoke, the time I am spending here is in danger of becoming seriously disappointing.

If I had more opportunities to cast spells or a shorter wait period between casts such might not be the case.

If my casts produced more/different varieties of flowers such might not be the case.

If I knew what the heck was going on, i.e., had some idea of what the game was about and where it is going, such might not be the case.

Did you know that your FAQs don't work? Aside from the FAQs, there's very little information given about this game, any part of it. For instance, shouldn't newbie players get some really good info relating to WHY it's a good idea to come back every 15 minutes and push the CAST SPELL button?

Note: I just cast my spell again. Again I got one plant and one wisp of smoke. Last time I got two wisps of smoke. The time before that, I got one plant and one wisp of smoke. This is slow and already becoming frustrating.

I've paid for more gold and spent it trying to get more casts. It got me to level three, which looks almost identical to level one. Henceforth, I won't be buying anymore gold in this game since it doesn't actually get me anywhere noticably different.

FYI, from my newbie perspective (but I'br played lots of games like this one over the years), there are way too many wisps of smoke and not enough information for beginning players. It's pretty frustrating. Is that really how you intended beginning players to feel?

I agree - it takes too long to level up from 1 to 2, then 2 to 3... I can see upper levels taking longer, but low levels shouldn't take so long when the rewards are not that great. I hoped when i leveled up i would get more energy and at least be able to cast ONE more spell per turn. There doesn't seem to be a point to this at this level. It started out fun, but if this is all it is, it might not hold my interest.

I can't get to do anything at all..has the potential of being a fun game however if I can get it to work.

I agree about the 15 minute wait for 2 casts.. There doesn't seem to be anything to do in the mean time and all this waiting for 15 minutes is getting old.

Hi everyone, I too would like a page set perhaps as a story about a newbie who then graduated to a much higher level and how they progressed. It could give us something to read while waiting for the 15 minutes. The idea about a tour around the island is a good one also.

What level do you have to get to before you have a quest to do please?

All in all this is a pretty fun game, but the waiting is kind of annoying. If there was a way to gather energy that would be even more awesome! One way that would be fun to pass the 15 min would be if people could specialize their characters. I mean every girl looks the same & so does every boy. If would give people a chance to individualize.

Patience is a virtue for wizards. :) Wizards cannot cast spells continuously, it takes 15 minutes for them to restore their energy before they can cast again, that's the way magic works. It's like asking for rain to not be wet. :)

I am having a lot of fun, I did notice this week
though that the window that pops for the supply shop and the Herbologist shop, is much narrower and you don't get a full view of what you are looking at. I don't know if it is just my pc or something in this game. Appreciate any help, it is kind of annoying to have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of your screen to try to scroll over to see what isn't showing. Thanks

I would like to say that I am truly enjoying everything about this wonderful place and want to thank all involved. It is so wonderful to have a Nice place to play, unlike so many others out there. Everyone is so helpful and kind. Now if only I could get that last fuzzy seed plant I would be in heaven! hahahaha

I think I may not play this game anymore. It is not that exciting to wait 15 minutes to do two casts, most the time of which don't produce any plants. Sorry, I will give it a week, and then quit playing if things don't change...used to mobsters and mafia wars. Good concept but a little boring for me. I hope you take the advice. I like the idea...

too slow! It's impossibly expensive to buy energy refills - there's nothing else to do - nowhere to walk. no way to get more spell power - I had one fairy stop by (random)

If you want me to log in to play the game, I have to be able to do more then cast 2 spells sell 2 plants and then wait 15 minutes!

Mafia, Pirates, Farmtown, etc all refill in 30 seconds & give you other things to do while you wait!

@Marisa and isisaeon, I would suggest taking a look at the faq at the top of the forum, it explains the game a bit. And please know this is a passive game so isn't meant to be fast-paced like mafia or any of the other games on facebook, it's meant to be a slow game. Hope this helps y'all a bit. :)

I don't think the aim of this game is to be a racing simulator... ;-)
Rather it seems to be like an island, far away in the sun where the life is going on in its own pace. A place where the only result of running or working faster is more waiting until there is more to do, and thing remain where they are left...
I like it - I can go to my too many other apps and communities in the meantime and it is no catastrophe if I am away for a longer time... :-)

I personally think that the 15 minute gap is good for going through the forums and also it is great to have the chance to get on with some chores. I am hooked on this anyway and my computer must get so hot as it is on so long. Take the opportunity to get your own story going. To keep it within the limits takes some doing, and a lot of time too. Enjoy the game for the joy and the wonder of completing each quest. Though I have yet to finish the ones I have started! That is what has me hooked I think, I am determined to get on to the next quest, I am always happy to go up a level, but to get to the end of one quest will thrill me. Thank you to all the wonderful people for giving me a game to play that I like, it is also full of great people who are kind, helpful and funny (in a great way of course). Bless you all, Love

I understand that different personalities want different things out of a game. Real life is fast-paced enough where I live. I've come to like the slow pace after hopping from foot to foot for the first few days, and I know for sure that I'm not alone.

I feel it's safe to say we enjoy the flower-growing magic and the violence-free environment. If you like a fast-paced game with lots of action and shooting, this may not appeal to you in the long run.

But please consider this: EI is still undergoing evolution, and I would like to encourage you to stick around for a while and see what the future brings. We're a pretty active bunch around here and contribute by giving suggestions (among them ideas how to fill the 15-minute wait with fun activities). The Elders are very good at listening to us and implementing whatever is possible and promises to make this game better and more interesting to a wider crowd.

I just started the game today and like the concept and idea of the game tho like some of the others i do agree it can be a little slow but then it isnt to distracting if your working while playing and can play during the dull moments, but i also agree that only two casts even at higher levels is unrealistic as surely as you grow stronger in casting apells even harry potter can cast more or stronger spells with practice

Welcome to the Enchanted Island Carlos!! Yes we move at a little slower pace than most but, I this is a new game ( a little over a month) so we are always growing. And the elders and officials here are very receptive to ideas and very helpful when you have issues. I think you will enjoy it here. I found that reading some of the forums and info kept me quite busy between casts and it helped me to get to know the island, so to speak. Enjoy casting and hope to see you around. :)

I just started the game today, and so far I am enjoying myself. I agree that having more things to do during the wait time would help keep people entertained. I like the idea of being able to personalize yourself as well as being able to walk around and explore the island. Keep the new stuff coming and I'll keep playing!

Hi everybody! I've been in the EI for about a month, and I find it exciting... this slow pace is one of the things that our "stressed real world" would need to be better. The speed won't let you appreciate the landscape during your journey... Enjoyment shall be in the journey itself, rather than arriving earlier wherever you go.

the only thing I don't like about the game is that you have to wait heaps between spells and that u don't get to move around much u kinda just stand there and im new 2

You'll either get used to the pace of the game (I hope) or you'll fly off the island. We're glad to have you and hope you stay and join the fun. We're hoping to move one of these days but the game is in Beta version and there are lots of things to work out and quests to invent still.

Hey, I too started about a day ago and already I'm enjoying it. I agree that the 15 minutes is too long. I like that the pace is not speedy and the competitiveness is low but the 15 minutes is a bit too slow. The problem is there's nothing to do while you wait once you've written your legend and spent all the money you are willing to. I would suggest creating other things to do while the time passes that can gain you energy or silver or even more stories. Other wise so far a GREAT game!!! :D

Sorry another suggestion you could let characters create their own outfits for a price rather than just choosing one. It will create a personal and unique character and use up some of that problematic 15 minutes. Thanks for listening.

Hi, I find that reading all the legends passes the time quite well, except that once you read a legend and you click back to the hall of legends u have to find your place again but it is a really great game anyways.

Max energy will always be four (as far as we know), but you'll get used to the pace. It's actually really relaxing!! :D

It would just be nice if you could walk around the island and find hidden things or meet other people. I know you mean for it to be slow pace but its a little too slow. People need something to do in the game while they are waiting for the 15 mins to go by.

would be nice to have a list of all the quests etc so you know if you have done them all or have lots of interesting ones just waiting for you.

Also nice to still be able to get the shell seeds so one could complete growing them all - -

I like how it is passive. When I just started, I actually thought it was sort of frustrating, but somehow I pursued and as I level up, I feel like it's getting better!! HOHO. Patience is a virtue. ;) the 15-min. intervals give you lots of time to do other stuff, like for instance when you're making homework/projects/household chores. Or even if you're checking other apps in FB.

What makes me really excited in leveling up?
the gold!! ^^ When you level up, you get more and more gold. This is something you can use to buy "temporary" seeds at the Potion Shop. They're really interesting.

I like earning Silver too because you could buy new wands. I'm always excited thinking what could be the new possibilities with the new wand.

Anyway, I really like the game.♥
I also like the backgrounds, the art, the characters..they make me squeal! too cute! x3 I like the feeling of being in a magical / enchanted island.

When I just started, the reason I wanted to level up, aside from the gold, was to be able to know the next chapter from Hops. :p

The first thing that kinda annoyed me when I started though, was when I realized every girl looked the same. But now there are outfits so~yahay!♥

I think that this is an awesome passive game. I get all happy when I get 3 of the same flower. :) and then see that i only need one more to conquer that group. I love this game. No competition.

I've actually been here a while. I didn't realize a lot about the game until the other day. Like really saving up to get better wands? I really wish my girl looked cuter (clothes) but I'd rather buy a better wand than waste my silver on an outfit.
Today I've been a little intense. I set my phone alarm for every 15 minutes. Started to freak my cats out with its ringing lol.
Like I'm GOING TO GET THAT NEW WAND OR ELSE!

hey ive been playing this for a while now too, and i find it very relaxing and i can enjoy it at my leisure. it can be frustrating waiting 15 mins for another cast, but all games have certain things that frustrate, just thats how this game is and its a good one!! happy spellcasting all!!

And Lavender, I understand the feeling you have on saving your silver for the next wand rather than spend it on an outfit..since I too had to contend with that situation. But I must tell you that it feels good to splurge on the silver to change your outfit. You feel good when you change to something sleeker than the first outfit...and you feel more accomplished in your cyber wizardry when your avatar looks better:)

The pace takes some getting used to but once you get into the flow of the game, it's addictive. I love how I can play this game while I study and do other things online or on my computer.

It has divided my computer life into 15-minute brackets, though XD Never thought a game could do something like that! Now the first thing I do when I log on is come to EI so that I can squeeze in a maximum number of casts ;)

Cool game but have to wait for 15 minutes to recharge lor.....
But then, the game was great and interesting.......
I kind of love it....

Skills take time to master. I,not the waiting...but the challenge...Kendral the Helpful...one seed pack given...3 seeds 2 were duds...hhhmmmm *giggle*

Hi Kayleeanna and Welcome. Glad you're enjoying the game. Well none of us really like the waiting partn but there's no need to be bored. You can write your story in the Hall of Legends. You can read the Wiki -- still under development but already interesting for a newbie. You can go to Island Gossip in Hops Haven? There's always a wizard or two waiting for a chat. You can check the herbologist for the plants you've grown and see what the record for each is. Or you could (gasp) get something done on the Mainland. Before you know it, it'll be time to cast again.

Hi I wanted to say that I like this game and understand for the slower pace but as others have stated it does get upsetting that when you only get 2 spells every 15 mins and most times they don't produce a plant at all it can get very boring fast. I started out leaving the game to go do other games and coming back in 15 or so mins. Now I'm at the point that I forget about the game because it's not exciting enough to get me back until the next day. I would love to see other ways of exploring the island to earn energy or collect other items while we are waiting for the 15 mins. I like the way it works so far but having nothing much to do in between the energy fills makes me not want to play to often. The cost of the potion to fill energy is way to expensive for us beginners so that makes things even more discouraging. Hope this helps with making the game a little better and I will continue to play but not as much as I would other games.

I concur with just about everyone else- great concept, but the 15 minute wait just to do 2 iffy spells is simply absurd. :(

This game seems pretty cool but it does gets a bit old when you can only cast 2 spells before you have to wait 15 more minutes. I mean when I play I like to keep on playing for a little while longer than a few seconds before I'm forced to stop.

I'm new to the game but so far it sucks...More duds than anything else. Game need something to keep people attention otherwise why waste my time.
