I may be crazy, but I DID recheck and redid each of my steps in casting to make sure I had read the pop up correctly, and my logic or the program totally flip flops on what I thought would be the correct combination on the 3 items to cast into the fire flower. The following are my cast combinations with the pop up reply. Then please tell me that I AM crazy and have totally misunderstood the logic of the quest and kindly guide me in the correct direction please. After recasting all of this 6 times, I know I must be going insane. Okay...the results:

***WHAT??? Is there a glitch or am I totally missing the point? Or should I start over with some completely different idea and ignore what I've done so far? Help please.
**PS I did read most of the other reports or problems on this , but did not find anything concerning the above ingredients. I did not read them all though. But this is just a simple problem of elimination and I thought I had gotten lucky with my second chunk of bits and pieces into the fire giving me the same results as my first, because that only left one more ingredient to try (I thought). Sorry, I'll stop rambling.

Spike, this isn't a bug. First off, yes, this part of the quest requires logic and process of elimination. However, you assumed something which wasn't correct. ;) (hopefully that's enough of a hint to figure out the correct ingredients)

Okay - thank you - rethinking and see where my assumption could have been (and obviously was) incorrect. I will go back and eliminate differently. Thank you for your help. Just seemed so lucky and like an absolute at the time. :o)
