Been red for couple days, already had couple Firefox updates happen in past 2 weeks... Anything else it means ?????

generally when your cast button becomes red, it means your flash player is out of date, or not working properly. By checking for updates, or reinstalling your flash player it should fix this issue :))

My cast button turned red today after i had already been playing for a while. I uninstalled the flash player and downloaded the lastest version and it all went fine. Now it keeps turning red and then back to blue and then red again. I even went to double check that i had the latest version which i do, my cache is always emptied when i leave firefox and starts off clean when i start using it again. Any other suggestions would be most helpful :)

Also try updating your browser, the latest Firefox is 3.6.8.

Sometimes the red cast button happens when your flash player is not functioning properly, it seems most wizards experiencing this just reload the page and it clears up. The red cast button does not interfere with regular game play, it's just a visual problem where you can't see the wand animation and smoke rings.

Thanks Luna, i think my firefox recently had an update done but i will fly off and check that out to be sure. My button has just gone blue again so i am hoping it stays that way. I have tried reloading the game too when it goes red and it will start off blue and then change to red.

Ok, i now have the newest flash player and the latest firefox installed and the button has just gone red again. My cache has been emptied since i have just installed the 3.6.8 version of firefox so any other ideas what is causing this?

It seems to be fixed now, i updated everything i could possibly find to update :)

Cast button/Red Here is what I've done:Refresh page,cleared history & cache....uninstalled Adobe Flash Player ,reinstalled ...What can I try now...Messing up my game play.... My new Whisker Wand was shooting lightning on my cast...Now its not! Please fix or tell me what to do...I use Firefox 3.6.8..

my Whisker Wand is flashing again,have not seen red button in over 40 cast now .....the problem now my poor frog hasn't come to dance for me know...about 60 cast and he hasn't come for a visit.LOL

Well this is a hit miss situation! button is red again .....whisker not sparking again....

Terrian, is your game slower than usual? Are you experiencing other problems besides the red button?

I will flag this for Dude, since I am not sure if the new wands may be experiencing a glitch or something.

I'm not sure if the frog is related to possible wand problems, but from what I understand his visits are completely random.

Question: Do any of you play the game outside of Facebook?

Current theory: Cast button turns red when outside of Facebook, works fine when playing [i]in[/i] Facebook.

I play outside of FB (don't like the ads) and just occasionally the cast button turns red. :/ But when it does my system is running slow.

Mine always says ....http://apps.facebook.com/enchantedisland....yes very slow...I let iYogi re install,the adobe flash player,also my firefox...they uninstalled...then re installed...cleared out all cache and history I had the Bar and they had to uninstall it and I really miss it...I don't know what else to do Dude..Thanks for taking your time to try to fix my problem.

Dude mine only runs slow when I'm in EI..I use Farm Town and Farm Ville both are running fine..Actually since iYogi came on and delete stuff(garbage)and my McAfee security is not picking up anything harmful. Let me go try something...be right back

Dude went in deleted Farm ville toolbar! and just did three cast no red bar my wand is working again..don't know about the frog yet.will keep you up dated! thanks

My cast button just went red again! I play inside of FB and as of yesterday i had updated everything i possibly could so i have the latest version of everything from Firefox to the flash player and even shock wave...which i have no idea what that is!
My cache and everything is empty too :(

Dude my button is red check off an on all evening wand works occasional and then nothing..seen dancing frog about three times today...So every thing I have done is not worked.... and my internet is not slow since I removed FV toolbar....so its something else...like I said I should have problems with my other two games.no problem there..sorry I don't know what else to tell you...thanks for trying to help me out.:(

@Terrian, i have the exact same problem at you! My button will be blue and then turns red for no reason and then later on goes back to blue and all is fine for a while. I have updated everything i possibly can since it started happening yesterday :(

Came on this am.button was blue got through to about 5 cast and turned red..second go round of cast I got Adobe has crashed.sent report! got stuff going went in deleted history cache and cookies and saved pass words!went and closed every thing down came back in .still red button. harder to receive gifts out of page this morning ,but no problems with anything else.....If I knew how to get adobe involved with this I would do so!!!!I love this game but I need to get this fixed,hope all this stuff I'm doing won't mess up my laptop. My Toshiba is my lifeline to the outside world!

My cast button has gone back to red again and i know i have everything in the latest version. I keep reloading the game and it shows as blue until i cast, then it goes back to being red. I even reinstalled the flash player again....and ive always used Incredimail which will only work with the proper flash player. There is nothing else to update, my cache and history are always emptied, ive reloaded every cast and it is still red :(

Nilly I can not believe we are the only two people on this entire Island with this problem!

I know Terrian, it seems very weird that no one else seems to have our problem and yet we have done everything we can to fix it. I am sick of refreshing the page to try and get my animation working and i cant keep uninstalling and reinstalling everything all day and night to get it to work.

I came and did one cast while the button was blue and it turned red so i came in here to answer you Terrian, then i went back to do two more casts and the button is blue and the animation worked!! I have no idea what the heck is going on :(

Great idea Terrian! Lets hope there is a fix for this, i worked hard and spent a lot of gold to get my Sea Change wand and i want to see it send lightening out again :)

I really want to start my Tiger Shell Quest.So I really need my frog working properly!Have Coral Carafe Pots,Luck Potions,and Uni..But won't start without the help of my Dancing Frog!!! Have not heard anything back from screen shot yet!!! waiting is the hardest hope Dude hasn't forgotten us....:)

Im sad, i have just got up and flown in here to play and my button was blue....but changed to red on the first cast! I know everything on my end must be ok, i play two other games from FB daily that both use animation and they work perfectly, its only this game that doesnt seem to like me. I want my Sea Change wand to animate again, after all i spent a lot of gold mastering the seeds to earn my pretty blue wand.

Dude!!! I may of worked out the problem! I have the old Wizard Coil wand plus the three new ones we could get. None of the new ones work for me at all.....but when i use my old Wizard Coil wand it all works fine!! Maybe there is a bug in our new wands for both me and Terrian?? I know she is using her Whisker wand and i have been using the Sea Change wand and they dont work for us. Just a thought anyway :)

Dude,Change back to the Wizard Coil Wand, works great(the old one) Got full color over the pot (green,yellow,red, yellow) when I cast now....14 casts ...no red cast button at all!!!!

Dude, i tried all my new wands again and they still dont work at all but i am still getting the full animation with my old Wizard Coil wand.

Dude still using my Wizard Coil Wand.getting all my animation with it ...but haven't seen my Dancing Frog! also,When clicking on to get a fairy summons I wait,and wait click on another one then click Thanks another one appears and the only word on it is Thanks (no fairy or words in the box)..Thanks Dude but I don't think I'll be doing anymore updates..just going to play my game and if it can't be fixed.Then I will probably delete the only game I love.Thank you for your time...

Now back to the red cast button even with using the Wizard coil.after the dancing frog came one time its back in the red!

Thank you for all the updates Terrian and Nilly! I just wanted to let you know I haven't forgotten about you or this problem.

I don't have a solution, yet -- there doesn't seem to be a consistent way to reproduce this issue yet, which makes it much more difficult to fix.

I know the new wands / animations work for many players, so I don't *think* it's necessarily a problem with the animations.

I'm looking at caching or server responsiveness (either ours or Facebook's) as the most likely culprits. I'm going to run some tests soon -- hopefully this will shed some more light.

It could also be a generic Flash problem or a problem local to your computers, but this seems a little less likely considering that the animations work *sometimes*.

Hi Dude, ive been having a play around with the wands again and my Wizard Coil always works, the Enhanced Basic Brimswood works sometimes but not always and the Dragon Whisker and Sea Change wands wont work at all so im going to stick with the Wizard Coil wand for now as i like the animation when i cast a spell :)

Dude my flower stand is gone now ,animation really messing up...I know Facebook is having issues with blank page....no boxes where it should be...... losing gifts on the way.....bits not loading!!!! I think you will find the problem is with facebook...Even when I receive a gift, from the old way, of going through FB... I can retrieve 2 out of 6.....Try any thing...others are having problems but won't post.....

While Dude is still looking into this, I have a question. Have you tried re-installing flash? Sometimes, for an unknown reason, this helps with issues like this.

Terrian, yes, I have. I asked if you re-installed it, not just make sure that you have the latest version. Seeing as I had suddenly had the same issue this afternoon, and doing so cleared up the problem, it's better to check to see if you actually did THAT part.

I'd like to point out that there's no reason to be rude. It would be helpful if people remembered to treat others w/ respect.

@Spot the Ingenious, i can tell you that i have uninstalled and reinstalled the flash player quite a few times over the last few days. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and the Shock Wave player too (i dont know exactly what this is but i decided to try anyway) and my new wands still do not work. I have managed to get the Enhanced Brimswood wand to work for a few casts and then it stops again. The Dragon Whisper and Sea Change wand will not work at all. I hope this helps :)

Thank you, Nilly. One other thought just occurred to me. Anyone with this issue appear to be using firefox/mozilla. Have you tried using a different browser?

Hi Spot, i logged out from Firefox and logged in again using IE. All my wands seemed to work properly but the game kept freezing on me. I used 2 green dragons just to check all the wands. I then logged out and came back again on Firefox, used another green dragon while keeping my Sea Change wand out and the animations are now working with it. I dont know if it will continue to work or not but i will use it until it stops and then switch back to my Wizard Coil wand :)

Spot I am sorry that you felt that I was disrespecting you.But I had posted what I had been doing to solve the problem..I hope yours will stay cleared up.My issues over the last day has gotten worse...I feel know that it is a connection problem... I've had experts (that charges me) check out my computer all my programs are up to date and running fine on all my other app.Yes it helps for about 8 cast but the issue comes back.Thank you for your time.
