Hi everyone!

As you probably already know, on August 1st everything in the Faun's Forest Shop will change from gold to silver. This includes the Spores which have been a premium seed for a long time (since December or so, I think).

I feel it's important to reward those players who spent their hard earned gold buying Spores to finish the Gnomish Adventure quest.

So, if you've finished this quest, you'll receive a visit from the Gnomes. They'll give you a Gnomish Nugget and you'll earn the Gnomish Prospector badge.

This special item and badge are only available between now and August 1st.

The Gnomish Nugget doesn't have a purpose right now, but in the future I'll add a way to trade or sell it. Or, maybe you'll be able to use it to make something? Any ideas?

If you haven't finished the Gnomish Adventure yet, and would like to collect the Gnomish Nugget, you can still do so buy finishing this quest before August 1st.

Perhaps some way to add it to a brewing cauldron but still retain the nugget, sort of like a stone soup thing.

Maybe we could use scrapings from the nugget to make a potion that when drunk will give special access to the gnomish mine? Then you would have a chance to dig around a bit for a chance to find treasure. Maybe this could be for the levels 40+ only?

@Alatáriel: The badge will definitely be a one time opportunity. I'm not sure about the nugget. It will either be one of a kind, or [i]very[/i] difficult to collect more.

I know a lot of players prefer to hang on to one of a kind items, though. So, whatever the use it will have to be very tempting. : ))

Maybe use it in some way like our Magicstone for the seeds in the Forest Shop or maybe get random Games from the Gnomes while casting Forest Shop seeds??

Hmm... I like luna's idea of using scrapings to do something. Or a simpler idea - what if there were random encounters from gnomes? They could be passing by, notice that we have a Gnomish nugget, and be like, "Oh, s/he's a friend of the Gnomes! Here's a small gift!" or "Would you like to play a game?"

Could the nugget be used to summon the gnomes......but we do not give it up ...or ......... used to make a very,very special wand?

Every stone has magical qualities. They are great aids in healing. I love collecting stones for their energy. They would be a great help when we are cooking our healing potions. There are so many uses for them I'm excited just thinking of ways to use it. Thank you for giving me one. I would love more. The more the better!!!! Thanks for such a wonder, magical gift!!!!

Thank you. I just got my nugget too. Some of the ideas I've read above are great. I would also like to keep the nugget if I could. It would be nice if it could be used towards something but remain in the satchel after it's used.

you could give the nugget a special ability to regenerate magic once a day!

Lovely surprise!Perhaps there could be other nuggets hidden in the game and collecting them would unlock something else(like the butterflies),what comes to mind is some kind of game involving treasure :-)

I wouldn't want to trade mine. Could it, once a week, turn a random sale from silver into gold?

I like Melora's stone soup idea. Maybe it could accelerate potion brewing?

How about twice a week you can wish on the nugget and grow the plant of your choice? That wouldn't be frequent enough to stop you trying to grow it by traditional means, or too much of an advantage over newer players, but it would be nice.

What if the nugget was involved with some use for the dragon scales? I mean beyond trading for the pots.
Since there is now a way to "buy" gold with silver. I was really happy to see that player suggestions were turned into reality (even if it is difficult to obtain).

Very nice surprise dude. I think of nuggets as of a pure ore. I would love to make mine into a special piece of jewlery, perhaps a necklace or bracelet that would grant the wearer extra strength (more casts perhaps) or maybe it could transform into a jewel for those of us with too few friends to have any hope of aquiring them by bringing them to the island.

As for the use, I don't really care if we get to keep it or not (since the only things I collect are pots), but I like the idea of the nugget leading to some sort of treasure hunt, maybe there could eventually be a nugget associated with every creature we get to summon (like a unicorn one, a fairy one...) and collecting all of them could be some sort of reeeeally long and complex on-going activity?
