To enter the contest:

1. Collect enough petals for 50 points!
2. Put the word [b]summer[/b] in your status message.
3. Cast again and you should be awarded the badge for entering the contest. Now just sit back and wait for the prizes to be awarded!

To edit your status message: On the left side of this page, click only your name or avatar. Now, look for the speech bubble next to your character (again on the left side of the page). Click "edit status", write a message that includes the word [b]summer[/b] and save your status.

When you cast again, you'll see confirmation that you've entered the contest.

After the contest ends, we'll give everyone another day to or so to set their status and enter the contest (assuming they already collected 50 or more points), then we'll award the prizes.

v, you need to add the word "summer" to your EI status message. You have to go to your profile (click on your name) to do that. Then click on the edit button next to your status bubble and type the word summer in there somewhere.

I do see that you don't have the Summer Prize Petaler badge, though, maybe I misremembered and that gets awarded when the contest ends... I'll have to check.

Thanks for this dude, because I just realized that I was not entered with
'Summer" instead of "summer". but I changed it so it's not capital and it says I'm entered now, so it's all good.

Does the capital 's' make a difference? I have summer caps'd and it still tells me that I'm entered... very strange... :S

In all my time on EI i have never cast so much in a week! I am loving the contest! Good luck for the final 21 hours everyone!

Zoy, when you click on the Green Prize Petal link at the top of the page, you get to the main Prize petal page. About half way down you will fine a light grey box that tells you if you have entered and what your status is, as well as how many of each type of petal you have collected.

Does everyone have a chance in the drawing, or are the names only drawn from the top 100 wizards??

@pc: Oh, no, everyone has a chance! : ))

It's like a raffle, where each point is one raffle ticket. Having more points increases your chances of winning a prize. But, everyone will have a chance to win. Last time, one player won a prize with only the minimum number of points (50 points). Several other players won with only a few more points than that.

In fact, relatively few players on the leaderboard won a prize. This is why we added a guaranteed consolation prize for those on the leaderboard, the Leaders Pot.

@Donna you have to enter the word "summer" in your status message.

so when you go to your profile click edit next to your character and replace what you currently have there , which i think is "donna's denizens" with the word "summer".

Since it's a raffle, is your name taken out after you win something?

Jean, yes, if you win one of the prizes, all of your raffles will be removed for the later drawings. You can only win one prize. (The Leaders Pots are separate, since those aren't won through raffling)

I think it's interesting to see how much the chances of winning are actually higher or not depending on how much petals you have because we can actually see how many petals there ARE!

on the top it says "Over 840,105 points earned so far! (by all players)" so that means even the top person on that leaders list has 1/4 of 1% chance of winning! so I would say that if you don't feel like you have a lot of petals, don't let that discourage you...nobody's odds are much better!
