I grew and collected 3 pheonix flowers and got the feather-thingies but didn't get recognized. Was I supposed to grow more than 3?

When you complete a quest or badge, for some reason best known to the developers they set it up so that the acknowledgment only appears when you make your *next* cast - which is rather strange since the next cast might not be for hours if you don't happen to carry on at the time, but that's the way it is!
