i thought u were supposed to get gold for getting thetoolbar, but i got it and never got the gold, and the tool bar didnt work the right way, always told me my casts were full..... so i deleted it.... maybe you guys should fix that little glitch, or make sure it doesnt happen to anyone else...... thanks though

hi i down loaded the new tool bar an it shut my comp off .. tried for 3 hrs to get in an it wodnt let me so i had to uninstall it bummer for me

OK, I installed the new toolbar; it's been in for over 24 hours. No 400 bonus gold for installation yet, but I won't freak until the 48 possible hours are up. I have both Safari and Firefox; now that I have the toolbar I usually am using Firefox when playing EI (but have to switch to Safari to play Mafia Wars due to Mac/Firefox weird bug that messes up and freezes MW - jeez). I also sneak in about 5-10 minutes a day during work breaks; that is Explorer. Perhaps my credits aren't appearing because I'm using 3 different browsers at various times during the day?

Toolbar is working fine; I've done several searches, and the "5 searches until 3 gold" feature is functional. Haven't tried the mall yet.

Hmmm. I can't find how to get to the Mall. When I click on the banner, there is a menu of the usual places in EI, plus "help" and "layout manager". My layout manager is a bit funky. A column of check boxes that say "include" but no text to show what is being included. Very mysterious!

Disregard my queries about the Mall - found it by clicking the mysterious gray button that said "not earning gold." Being curious has its rewards. I don't usually shop online, but being curious, will check it out.

OK, now it has been over 48 hours, and no credits yet. However, I'm reading elsewhere that Keith is aware of this glitch, and promising to credit everyone who installed the tool bar. Waiting patiently, understand Keith and Dude have a lot on their plates at the moment

I installed the toolbar on Monday but I still did not get my 400 gold for installing it. Is is a bug or should I wait a bit more? I'm looking forward to spending it on some snow seeds before they disappear:)

Well it is nice to find a post about the toolbar that is not locked yet. I, too, installed the toolbar on Monday and have not received the 400 gold as yet. I also am not too thrilled with getting little bits of gold everyday and a smaller amount at leveling; it's like getting paid for work every day instead of at the end of the week...makes it too tempting to spend as soon as you have 100 gold, instead of saving up a larger sum for a new premium seed.

installed toolbar - no gold yet...

this is getting bad around here. First we get our gold syphoned away from us (like a boss hiring you for $15 per hour and once you're at the job and working, he changes your wage as he hands you your paycheck and then says, "Oh, btw, I only paid you $2 per hour").

Then, since I had no gold to complete my snowflake quest, I had to cast other seeds. The "man" comes along and makes an offer for my FINAL STAGE snowflake, so I traded him, thinking I was supposed to. Then I finally wait 3 days to do more snowflake quest to complete it (I was about 10 seeds from finishing it) and I learn I have inadvertently reset the quest and HAVE TO START IT AGAIN!!! Why would the "man" come take my snowflake if I had NOT finished the quest if by trading him it RUINED my quest???

Why screw with a GOLD seeds quest??? Why elders, why???

I have not only installed the toolbar and not received the gold BUT I have kept trying to use it even though it does NOT count my searches and is weird re tracking energy

Lise - the trader should have only come if you had the Level: 7 snowflake (the completed snowflake). I just looked at your profile, and you have completed the Crystal Snowflake Quest, what you did not complete, however, was the Seed Badge (you need the snowflake to get this last plant, however, it is not connected with the quest itself)

I will flag this for now, as it is clearly an issue, and will merge it into another similar topic later today when i have more time!

Thanks Lauren, but it does not get me my badge for the quest. I was about 10 seeds from getting my seed badge, and when I went to use my next 5 premium snowflake seeds to get that last snowflower, the quest RESTARTED. Now I am out all that gold, premium seeds, time and the seed badge.

Please advise what will be done to fix this problem. It seems this is just one more nasty thing happening in a string of nasties, and well, honestly, I'm getting fed up.

I LOVE Growing Gifts and came to the Island to help "save Growing Gifts", but lately there have been bugs with it too, so it seems that the whole reason I joined this Island, is falling apart too. I really hope the Elders do some serious rethinking on what has been happening around here lately and instead of bringing "new changes" that are actually working against them and the Islanders, that they focus on fixing issues here first (and on Growing Gifts).

Successful business has a "rule": keep the clients you HAVE happy, and they will bring NEW clients to you! As I've witnessed here first-hand, this "rule" is key.

Too many very disappointed and unhappy wizards atm, and if something isn't done about it soon, this "upset" will reverberate outside of here long enough to cause permanent damage to the game's reputation.

Growing 3 of three of kind is totally outrageous - and I never plan to invest that amount gold for premium seeds to do it - I realize it's "voluntary" but most of the fun of playing is going for badges and achieving goals but when those goals are only able to be done by spending way to much cash for gold in order to complete - then I'm not interested - goals should challenging and able to be done without spending cash -- that makes is fun and when it's fun then support for a game is given willingly - no need for arm twisting.

I'm all for improvements and new things to do - but I think these changes are too much - gifting has changed (haven't seen unicorn summons or green dragons at all any more - make them rare perhaps (like the gifting seeds) but gone completely? that is just not right) and the gold for leveling up is WAY WAY WAY too reduced now (only a little over a 100 from 21 to level 22 when it was over 800 before - I can understand reducing it maybe by half but geeeeez!!!!!)

I support this game and I've bought gold - but when it begins to feel like changes are made to make you buy gold I resent it a lot and will never buy gold again.

No gold for me yet either, I installed the toolbar and hid it not long after as my browser started playing up. Would this affect whether or not I get the gold?

The toolbar is working so I assume I installed it correctly and there are no other issues as far as the game is concerned other than not getting my gold for the installation of toolbar :)

Hey guys, I installed the toolbar, I think it was either Sunday or Monday?, not too sure. I still have not received the 400 gold. Just figured I'd let you know. The toolbar is a little slow showing the correct amount of energy, but I think everything else is okay.

Lise - I will repeat from above - you Do have the [u]Quest Badge[/u]. what you Don't have is the [u]Seed Badge[/u]. You [u]had the Quest Badge[/u] when the trader came - I guess I don't understand what your thinking was when you say you [i]"thought you were supposed to trade"[/i] - can you please help me understand? What was unclear that you thought you had not finished the quest?

I'm having the same issue as others: installed over weekend, nothing's been credited.
I'd really like to buy some of them snowflake thingy's....but can't yet.

48 hours have come and gone, still no sign of the 400 gold, wich is very bad because my decision of entering the current contest was affected by the amount of gold I should recieve, and not having it makes it less likely for me to do well on it...

Also the time, energy and number of searches data on the tollbar is not the same as the ones displayed on townsquare...

I was robbed of getting my seed badge. I was on the final flower to get it. Now I have been made to start all over again, go through all the flower-making levels just to get back to where I was before trader took my snowflake in order to get that last flower so I can get my seed badge.

Hope this clarifies things.

Mary the current contest does not *need* gold seeds. So far none of my petals have come from them yet, and I do have a pretty handful :)

Installed toolbar the first day (Sunday?) and still no gold

Energy on the toolbar changes but not as i cast so the inaccuracy makes it pretty useless. The timer is not in sync either.

Have done 2 searches today so far but it still says "5 searches until 3 gold". I did 3 searches yesterday but i guess you have to do 5 every day? I really don't search that much. I don't need a search toolbar (every toolbar i have has searches on it) so i'm not too thrilled with the bar.

Other than that... thank you for a nice little game.
