I just keep getting an abort message when I try to download. Will try again and see if it works.

A few of you said you did not receive gold for installing. Is your toolbar working? Does it show your correct timer and gold count?

It's actually not "upon install" that the credit occurs, it's actually as soon as the toolbar first connects to the server, so we have to make sure it's activated.

my tool bar is up and has the correct information but I didn't receive the gold. . .?

my timer's correct and the gold count's correct. energy count's wrong and I didn't receive the gold for installing the toolbar. I'm using the firefox version of the toolbar.

i have not recieved my gold yet and i did some searches and got my credit from the searches! which was nice! thanks for that! but for some reason the tool bar says i have a cast and i actually dont! and now it says i dont have any cast but the old one says i have 1 cast! theres a few bugs stil... i hope you guys can figure it out! i like it!

It appears to be working well. Timer looks okay... searches go well. However, no credit yet. I have put it on Firefox, even though I usually use Chrome. I am casting on Firefox and connected there. Also, the energy count is wrong, so it appears.

My toolbar is up, I got no extra gold and the amount is not correct it says I have 250 but I have 340.

I'm looking into the install credit right now, not sure why that didn't work. I just want to assure everyone that we'll make sure you get credited for this. Worst case I'll be sure to manually credit everyone (we can detect in our system who installed the toolbar).

The timer & gold sync up every minute or so, so just wait a minute and then you'll see them update.

I installed the toolbar in Firefox and I didn't receive any bonus gold. I also did some searches, but the toolbar keeps reading 5 searches until 3 Gold, even though I've done 2 or 3 searches already.

did 5 searches to test, and received 3 gold. I have not got the 400 for installing. Energy count seems to lag, toolbar currently is 3 gold down on what I actually have (the 3 I earned from the test searches). Clock is correct.

Question: are there other requirements to get the 400 gold than just downloading? I turned all the options off, as I only want to use the toolbar to monitor energy ... do those default options that were on need to be on for the install bonus?

first I am new here and think this is great how active the programers are here. really liking it so far. I also did not receive my gold.

just a question about the searches. Does the toolbar only "credit" a search if it's a search done in yahoo and not wikipedia etc? or is that a bug?

Everything is working fine... my timer is working fine as well the gold count is correct but still i haven't got the gold till now....

& there is a grey round symbol & it says grey means this site is not of our program,or further action is required why is it so can u explain it keith

Where do i install th toolbar from?

It kept aborting when trying to install on internet explorer so managed to download on Mozilla Firefox. No extra gold as yet and the energy just stays on 1/7. Timer is correct and the search engine worked for extra gold.

Incorrect time, incorrect casts, no gold for install, no gold for searches.

I found that when I clicked on the energy levels on the toolbar it corrected itself. You might need to click on that part of the toolbar for it to adjust.

Hello my friendly elders! :) I am enchanted about the new ideas very much! I installed the toolbar as soon as I saw it and I have three bugs for now - my energy shows 3/11 in the browser and keep growing, but stands still 2/11 in the toolbar. And no gold received for installing the toolbar. And the timer blows over between the browser and the toolbar.
This is so far, please check it when you are able, of course!

did recieve 20 gold from kendra and the beginning of the magnolia contest
my toolbar is incorrect about my energy count and gold amount

also I really despise how it deleted my other toolbars

using firefox (ugg) can only see half the screen, no scroll so cant see all in satchel or read forums (without the jump to bottom tag)...and thats my observation within seconds...good wrk guys but seems to be a bit buggy for release

@Mono: your issues are unrelated to toolbar. Try the usual bug checklist, sounds like a browser issue.

You only receive credit for searches that are done in the toolbar search box. And you only receive credit for "real searches", so please just use the search box as you normally would to do internet searches."

This is one of my problems. I did 2 legitimate searches (as far as I'm concerned since it was for information I need regardless of EI) and that does not seem to be reflected in the counter in the toolbar. Do I have to wait till I do 5 searches?

Foxfire blocked downloading the toolbar. Didn't particularly want to use it. Now, I'm sure I won't.

- Received gold for searches (thanks!)
- Gold count is correct (only took a few minutes to update)
- Energy count is incorrect (toolbar count is behind by 1)
- Timer is incorrect (toolbar timer is ahead by 3 secs)

I have had to uninstall the toolbar from Firefox as it wouldn't give me any rewards for searching. Just states 'no rewards until tomorrow' so it was pointless using it to search. Cannot download on explorer as it just aborts every time I try.

I might try reinstalling on firefox but don't really want to have two browsers up at once. If it still won't let me search I will delete it again.

Edited as I did reinstall and it still says I cannot get any rewards for searching so will uninstall again. Until this bug is sorted I will not have it installed.

I get 'unsupported browser' using Google Chrome. When will this be supported?

I installed the toolbar on IE with the following results:
- NO gold
- my internet connection got totally messed up! I had to reboot the modem with two very impatient teenagers hanging over my shoulder! All well now but I'm too scared to enable the toolbar again in case I trigger the problem again.

I just installed the toolbar and there is nothing on it. Just has a round silver thing and next to it says Not Earning. This could all be because I first went to town square and tried to cast and the first time had to reload page for it to register I got 3 cast and the dialog got stuck once again. Then I saw about the toolbar and downloaded it. So after the dialog is unstuck maybe it will work. Now I cannot login with it, actually nothing at all is working so far. But if it is still like this after the dialog is unstuck I will post another but for it. I had never had any problems before with my dialog sticking. And in the last week or so it has happened now 3 times. Wonder why. I use firefox. I tried to post this but report on the toolbar bug place. But it was locked and said to open new bug report. I did all the things first before I posted this. One thing that I know about this dialog sticking is it happens always after I clear my cache and reboot.

I have installed the toolbar and did my first search. I found a great website and the search went from 5 to 4 but then after restarting the browser, the search bar went back up to 5.

Why did it do that if it was a proper search?

i downloaded the toolbar 4-5 days ago but didn't receive the 400 gold. i use firefox.

Same here and I had to remove it for technical reasons. (have reported said reasons to several "elders")

I installed the toolbar over 48 hours ago and I still have not received the gold. The toolbar works ok. I have receieved gold for searches but it is not always current.

@clare: It's just now about 48 or so hours since the tool bar has been available. There are a few issues with it at the moment, but Keith has said that he will make sure that everyone who downloaded it gets credit for it. If he has to go through and do this manually because of an issue, it will take a little bit to get there as that will be time consuming.

@Amber: There are multiple Town Officials and 2 Town Elders. The 2 Elders are Dude and Keith, and they are the developers of the game. Their posts in the forums appear blue. The Town Officials are players just like you and me, but they were given a few extra abilities to help people out, such as removing stuck dialogs. Their posts in forums appear orange. There is little that any of the Officials can do about a technical issue with the toolbar and the Elders are trying to fix it but these things take time because they have to figure out where in the system the error is occurring before they can fix it.

@Cherry: Hopefully you'll get the gold sooner rather than later. The Elders are working on figuring out what's going on with the toolbar and Keith has said that everyone will get credited their gold, even if he has to go through and do it himself. It may take a little time, especially if Keith has to do it manually, but it will get there.
