I have been keeping track of my plants as I do this quest, so I choose the opposite one (if I got it wrong) the next time up. However, THIS time...it didn't give me the option of choosing the plant I needed, it popped up a different plant, and so I chose it; and it was wrong. Dale said I should post this as a bug and suspend my quest til I hear from you.

same problem with my quest too....although i hv started the quest again and trying to finish the divination basics.... :(

It has been more than 2 weeks since i started divination. i had the same thing happen again, where the new choices that popped up were not the same options as the last time where i made the 'wrong' choice. i don't know how many i have completed, b/c there is no where to look that keeps track of how many i have gotten right; and since it has been around 3 weeks that i've been trying to finish this quest, i can't remember!! is something wrong??

They are not coming up as they should. I just got 4 in a row right, but the first choice was not the two previous plants where i had made a wrong choice. And I know I have to guessed 9 correctly by now! Is there a bug?

i sorta figured it out. apparently what u need to do is write down every 2 plants she gives u as an option, write down the one you chose and if it was right or wrong. you have to guess right 9 times in a row, without an oops (that was my misunderstanding). BUT, at the beginning it was giving you the same plants each time to choose from until you got it right, then it moved on to another set of plants. After a while, it stopped doing that; and I don't know if this is a problem or if that is the way it is supposed to work. So, I shall leave it in your wise hands, o elders! :)

@Jan: Hmm, I'm so glad you figured it out in the end, but I'd really like to understand the confusion you had and how it changed.

It is correct that there are 9 separate pairs you have to get correct, you have to get all of them correct in a row to complete the quest. As soon as you get one incorrect you have to start over on the entire sequence.

Was it that you didn't realize you were starting over on the sequence? Is that the confusion?

This has happened to other wizards as well and I've never understood the issue, every so often a wizard comes along and thinks there is a bug, I've checked this quest so many times i know there isn't, so it must be this confusion that they're having as well.

Yes, Keith, my problem was I didn't realize you had to get them all correct 9 times in a row and that if you got one wrong, it made you start all over again. I didn't get that til I had about 5 right in a row and luckily I had written some info down and picked the next 3 correct and guessed on number 9 and got it right, too! If so many wizards misunderstand this one, maybe we need some more clarity on it?
