I dont know if this is a bug, but after growing over 15 lettucefish plants a galloping spicy sea horse appeared, even though there had always been, and still was, a lettucefish plant on the stand. The next one that grew ( with both lettucefish and spicy seahorse on stand) was another lettucefish, followed by this pop up "Local Kid: Wow! A lettucefish! If you keep it on your stand you'll be swarmed by a whole school of lettucefish!" .... which I had seen right at the beginning, BEFORE growing about 15 lettucefish ! Not sure if I should carry on in case this IS a bug, as it is just wasting gold.

Sorry I should have said 2 lettucefish appeared after the seahorse, then the pop up came, then now I am getting more lettucefish, as before.

I am having the same sort of problem I have just cast 10 lettuce fish in a row plus several more before that. Is this a bug. I would be glad of any clarification of this matter. Thank you very much for your kind attention to this matter. ~hugs~

I'm having the same problem. I cast lettucefish, then get interrupted by another plant, then end up starting over again. Over 30 lettucefish now and only two lemonsharks.

Now I just cast a Beta Bloom and that was taken by the Shady Man, then I grew another right away and he popped up to tell me my other plant had lost, but didn't take *this* one off my stand!

What is going on? I have now cast 34 Swarming Lettucefish, costing me almost 600 gold-- and nothing!! The Local Kid has popped up several times [ I'm beginning to dislike kids] but still getting nowhere. Please help.

The quest is basically about casting and trading / selling - the pop ups.
There is no need to do anything to get special pots - its apparently just an extra.
No need to use unicorns or dragons ... just cast.
And u dont need to wait and get loads of that lettuce thing to attract the lemon thing ( good with names aren't I ??? ) .... NOT necessary ... just sell 3 of a kind and carry on casting. Get rid of the lettucefish and grow others - thats what I did.

Amanda the strange----Thanks for your help. It seems you have a memory like mine for names!!! I did get rid of the "lettuce things" and have sold 3 of a kind, more than once. So far I've used 1400 gold and feel there's no end in sight. Ain't seen any bristle broom pots-- would be nice to see what they look like and the strange man and the kids are beginning to annoy me. And I have grown so many plants on here I forget their names ! lol .... funny everyone else seems to manage !

im not sure if this is a bug, but all i appear to be getting is lettuce fish , i have had 31 in all, one after the other,it appears to be a waste of gold ,
i think i will put this quest on hold untill it is fixed as my gold is disapearing very fast with little results

@ Linda and Maxi ... get rid of the lettucefish, so there are none on your stand - just cast other plants - every time you get a lettuce plant get rid of it so it doesnt atract more. Cant really say more than that on here - I dont know how to do those spoiler box things - been told a few times but can never remember ... scroll me if u want more info.

Ditto for me. Zillions of lettuce fish, then suddenly some different plant, and the kid comes back with the next lettuce fish and it starts again... zillion more lettuce fish etc. No lemon sharks in sight. Darn things.

I finished the quest but I'm still casting to grow my Lemonshark. I'm well past 2000 gold but no Lemonshark. It seems to be costing way too much. From previous remarks I understand I can stop and come back to it later? If that's the case please let me know. Maybe I need to stop chasing that shark for a little while.

I grew the lettuce fish 34 times and so I thought I was doing it wrong and sold them. Some had been grown in the firsts part of the quest about a week ago.
I got lots of unreadable pop-ups - there was a 'dialogue' by my character but no pop up. I would refresh the page to see if I could then read it but it dissappeared - I don't know if this has happened to anyone else or if it was just me.

Yeah, I also had a different fish pop up after I had grown a couple of lettuce fish, though I had another plant (Wistful Hyacinth) on my stand as well. Would that throw things off?

AMANDA. AAAAggggghhhhhh!!!!!! I could have opened a florists to sell Allinemone and Shining Starflower. Just checked with the Herbologist--there are 57 Lettuce, 43 Allinemone, 35 Starflower and can you guess how many Lemonshark--ONE. I've grown the Beta Bloom---that annoying little man keeps popping up to tell me it didn't win. The Seahorse won. I've now spent 2500 gold and am getting a little cheesed off.[To put it politely] This quest is proving to be the most annoying, frustrating, expensive and anger firing so far and the end is still not in view. Have used the last seed and don't feel like spending anymore gold. Thanks yet again for your help. Chicken. XX

I recently had a similar problem to the first couple of posts. I have been growing lettucefish, and then all of a sudden a star flower grew even though I had at least one lettuce fish on my stand.

I agree with you Chicken - I too think this has been the most annoying and frustrating quest I have ever done on here ... messing about fiddling with things that got you confused ... then find out it was much more straightforward than you thought, and you didnt need to do any of it anyway !! Dont blame you for being "cheesed off" ( we'll keep it polite on here, in public ! ha ha )
You are meant to be able to come back and do it again - so get more gold and have another go ... if you can bear the stress ! Good luck ... scroll me if you want me :-)

Yes I agree, the lettuce fish are overwhelming and I finally sold them with no better luck. Bristle Broom pots --are they the shaggy grassy ones? We should all get some free play or some of our gold back. I love this app and hope this doesn't keep disappointing me and everyone else here.

It happened again. I had two lettucefish on my stand, and then grew an Allinemone before growing another lettucefish. Then the boy visited to tell me about lettucefish and lemonsharks. Does this negate the dozens of lettucefish I had grown before??? I have been trying to grow a lemonshark all day (since I finished the quest within minutes of it being released today).
Note, I had logged off FB a few hours earlier, and had just started playing on a different computer the second time this happened.

Lani ... there are loads of us who have done everything there is to do on here, and are just waiting for new quests, myself included. While I am waiting I just cast fire seeds and consequently embers and dragon seeds - just for the sake of levelling up and getting more gold. I dont think this actually IS a problem, ie NOT a bug ... its just that people are not realising what is required for this quest. I will see if your settings will allow me to either scroll you or contact you via Facebook.

I achieved the quest very quickly but as i had some seeds and some gold, i thought i would carry on growing tiger shells. i have grown 114 lettuce fish. I have had the occasional lemon shark but after 21 lettuce fish in a row with no gold left (after spending 2000) and 6 green dragons and still no lemon shark I am going to give up for a while. The little boy keeps popping up to tell me that one will be along soon but to no avail. I am going to play on Fairyland for a while! :-)

I'm having problems with the shady guy. I grow spicy seahorses and beta blooms in different pots, but the shady man appeared only four times (plants lost the race), it's been at least ten times he didn't show up to take the plants to race them. Has anyone experienced similar problems???
By the way, it's the second time I'm doing this quest, I didn't have any problems the first time.

Can you please check to see how many Lettucefish I have grown without a single Lemonshark? It has to be about 30 by now, interspersed with the odd Allinenome or Starfish flower, and when I have to take a break to get more gold.

Hi! I am trying to master this seed. I have kept one on the stand but still no lemon shark. I have been casting lettuce fish over and over then another type comes and i get the local kid pop up again. THis has happened many times! I saw others having this problem but didnt see a post on if it was a bug or not. Im running out of gold so help would be appreciated. I would love to get on to the quest while i still have gold! There were no green bugs that i noticed..

@ Lyra, I have had similar problem..I grow the Spicy Seahorse & the Beta Bloom (they always lose the race!) It's costing me lots of gold & I get nowhere? It has happened about 6 times so far & no race winner?
I also had no problem with growing them the first time and got the seed mastered badge....but this quest is VERY disappointing, I do what I think I'm suppose to be doing, and I get nowhere... :(
